April 2026 - Canvas media in the Rich Content Editor now adds automatic captions, interactive transcripts, and better playback controls to make course videos easier to use.

Students can search and click within transcripts to jump to key moments, follow along as text is highlighted, and review concepts more efficiently.

Instructors save time with auto-generated captions and can quickly fix any errors right in Canvas, improving access for all learners.
