In this virtual interactive workshop on Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), which was open to faculty and teaching staff across Harvard University, we explore how to cultivate relationships in both an online and in-person class.

This workshop was hosted by the Department of Teaching & Learning (DTL) in the Harvard Division of Continuing Education (DCE).

Through SEL, you can support students to develop meaningful relationships that contribute to a successful learning experience. SEL provides a framework for developing self-awareness and interpersonal skills and managing emotions to effectively engage with people.

During the workshop, we modeled teaching strategies that you can apply to your own class, which are featured in the video below and in the [1-page resource of SEL strategies](https://teachingandlearning.knowledgeowl.com/docs/social-emotional-learning-sel-cultivating-relationships).
